I have a space on MySpace! Two of my after school program youth helped me create it today. I just spent half an hour sprucing it up with butterflies and a lilac background ... I feel fourteen =) This is part of a literacy/cultural observation project I'm conducting with classmates but its turned out to be a great chance to reconnect with my kids.
I always knew that they were running amuck on myspace but didn't know whether to run with them or just watch from afar. It is definitely another world. If I never joined it, I'd miss out on being able to see what they see, and know what they know. So now I'm in their midst. Learning how to find free html codes for background designs, perusing You Tube, watching: Yellow Fever and Crazy Asian Mother.
Definitely worth watching those two clips. Oh, and if you want to add me to your space, let me know ;)
