Add a little sugar

Grandma's advice is to always add a little sugar to everything =) And I do. It works - everything always tastes better with a touch of sweetness. Honey's best.

Its spring! I love it! I love sleeping in, but there's so much light outside and even in L.A., you can smell the flowers and so, I've been waking up earlier. Anticipating the rest of the day.

I've been cooped up! Doing only good things of course.

creating. crazy power points, edgar allan poe lesson plans. art!

thinking. how i just love teaching. how the heck will i keep from burning out?

celebrating. the colleagues that inspire me. my new job. middle school, fall 07 here i come!

Winter quarter student teaching was so unexpectedly all consuming that my goal for spring break is to treat every free day I have like a gift.

So I've been reading. My mother jones magazines - food for the brain. You must read the article: Reversal of Fortune by Bill McKibben. Essentially: happiness is more than money.

Orhan Pamuk! Dig this line from his book My Name is Red:

"I don't want to be a tree, I want to be its meaning."

And being with friends. Spent a few very lovely hours having bi bim bap with some ladies last night. The table was colorful with flowers, vegetables, funky over easy eggs and go chu jang mixed with honey and sesame oil.

I used to have my camera all the time. Oh well. Life is meant to be lived right? Which means, its time for me to enjoy the day now ;-)
