The movie Sleeping Beauty was contrived because in the climax they gave her an apple and she ate it and she was asleep until a prince kiss her. That could not happen in real life. Because when I was little my aunt was sleeping and his boyfriend kissed her and she didn't woke up. I was saying that she was dead.
The plot of the story Cinderella is contrived because in the resolution, they both live happily ever after. In real life things wouldn't happen that way because most marriages end in divorce. For example, when I was one years old, my father cheated on my mom. And in the end, my mom divorced my father.
