Small Victories

Robert reminded me in the morning - remember the small victories. Think about the student you reached. Think about the two miles you finished running on Saturday. Think - hey, that meeting went well. Think about the small personal victories - the small professional victories. Sometimes the real problem, is too big to even think about. Don't think about it for awhile, think small.

So I remembered to think small. Small victories.

Being happy requires commitment. Being light requires intense focus. Today began with me fuming about numbers but by the end of the day I was counting laps and counting many small victories. I'm thankful for the conversation I had with Robert today while walking down the stairs, on the way to another meeting - five minutes worth - to breathe and be conscious of my emotions. It made a difference.

We are all going through this - some of us, more than others. And by this I mean - the unemployment, the reduction in wages or hours or hope or resilience. If nothing else, I want to keep the hope and keep the resilience. Hang on to every bit of the positive.
