I never knew that squids have eyes where they do. I always thought they were at the other end!
Gee, I feel ignorant and unappreciative! I've been eating squid for years and I don't even have the decency to know that they have eyes!
Then of course, I learned today, that squids aren't fish, they're mollusks. Invertebrates. No worries readers, I'm not going to be a science teacher. Oh no no. Not when you learn at 28 that squids have eyes =) HA!
This all came about during my science methods class, when we were asked to cut out shapes of various fish. I made a puffer fish which was quite loved by my classmates and then my squid. Arlen said she's always been fascinated by squid. I can see why now. The one above is really quite beautiful. Maybe because she's vegetarian, she's better able to appreciate their beauty instead of being busy with well, with eating them.

yeah, i didn't know squid were that pretty either. but then again, the only time i see squid is when it's on my plate. :P

I think the selection is pretty decent. I've been able to find tracks by indie artists like sia, feist, bishop allen, and surprisingly even chinese and japanese songs.
